U4GM - Elden Ring Runes Farming: 3 Methods Still Viable After Latest Patch

If you’ve been playing Elden Ring since launch like I have, you know that rune farming is essential for leveling up and taking on the game’s toughest bosses. With every patch, some popular farming methods get nerfed, making it harder to keep up. After the most recent update, I went back in and tested several of my favorite rune farming routes to see which ones still work. Here are three methods that remain viable—and highly effective—for farming Elden Ring runes post-patch.

1. Moghwyn Palace Bird Farm (Still Solid)

The infamous bird rune farm at Moghwyn Palace still works like a charm. After unlocking this area via Varre’s questline or a portal in Consecrated Snowfield, you can fast travel to the Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace. Look toward the cliff and shoot the bird enemy across the chasm with a bow. It’ll charge and fall to its death, rewarding you with a hefty number of runes every time.

I’ve used this method for dozens of levels and it’s by far the most efficient solo method. If you pair this with a Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot or a scarab talisman, you can easily earn over 40,000 runes per minute. It’s repetitive, yes, but still one of the best farming methods after the patch.

2. Albinauric Swarm Route (Efficient & Fast)

Another method that remains effective is wiping out the Albinauric enemies near the same Site of Grace in Moghwyn Palace. These enemies spawn in dense groups and go down quickly if you have an AoE-heavy weapon or spell like Sacred Relic Sword’s Wave of Gold. I’ve used this route to level alternate characters and it’s still great for rune-per-minute efficiency.

For an even faster clear, summon a spirit ash like Black Knife Tiche or use a bleed build to shred through the groups. This route gives more runes per kill than the bird, especially with buffs, and feels less monotonous over time.

3. Haligtree Knights in Miquella’s Haligtree (For High-Level Players)

If you’re looking for a tougher challenge with high rune rewards, the knights in Miquella’s Haligtree offer a viable farming route. These enemies are more difficult to defeat but drop a significant number of runes. From the Haligtree Town Site of Grace, take out each knight in the area, then reset. It’s slower than the other methods, but the higher difficulty balances out with more runes per kill.

This is the route I use when I want to practice combat and still make meaningful progress. You’ll need solid gear and patience, but if you’re confident in your skills, this can be both rewarding and fun.

Bonus Tip: Buy Elden Ring Runes Support Included

If you’re short on time or simply want a boost to enjoy the late-game content, you can always buy Elden Ring runes support included from trusted vendors like U4GM. I've tested this as well and was surprised by how seamless and quick the service was. For players who want to skip the grind and dive straight into PvP or NG+ content, it's a practical alternative. Just make sure to use a reliable site that ensures transaction safety.

Farming Elden Ring runes after the latest patch still offers several viable paths, whether you prefer efficiency, combat challenge, or ease of use. I’ve tested all of the above methods personally and can confirm they still deliver strong results. As always, choose the route that best matches your playstyle—and don’t be afraid to supplement your farming with tools that respect your time and effort.

Happy farming, Tarnished!
